Dentures
Private dentures can provide that more personal to you solution to a missing tooth or teeth. The teeth available have a much more ‘natural’ tooth appearance and they can be set up to copy spaces or rotations your own natural teeth used to have. The gum colour can be adjusted and more detail put into its shape and contour around each individual tooth.
Another available option in a full denture or partial denture to have a clear palate rather than a pink one and this will allow your natural colour of the roof of your mouth to be seen through the denture. Other options include high impact acrylic which can be more resistant to fracturing.
Flexible dentures can provide a secure feel, provided your mouth is suitable. They can solve the problem of a loose partial denture which affect many people. They flex and can get around teeth that tip inwards, where a normal acrylic denture would struggle to fit.
Flexible dentures can work very well for smaller spaces and they can be much smaller in their design, making them much easier to tolerate. Your dentist can tell you if they could be a suitable option for you.
Chrome dentures can provide a lightweight option and can allow an improved ability to taste as they can be designed to cover less of your palate. Whilst they do have metal clasps, which can be visible, there is an option with a private chrome to have tooth-coloured clasps added. This can give a much-improved aesthetic result.
